General Accountabilities:
The detailer will be responsible for prewashing, color sand and polishing, and final cleaning vehicles. The detailer will be able to critically look over vehicles for fit, finish, and function and be able to work with the technicians to ensure every vehicle is 100% before delivering the vehicle back to the customer.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prewash each vehicle that drops off for repairs
- Final clean inside and out of each vehicle, once repairs are complete
- Color sand and polish as necessary
- Polish headlights
- Inspect vehicles for imperfections and work with technicians to get taken care of
- Comply with Mahnke safety, rules, guidelines and standards
- Maintain a clean, orderly and safe detail bay
- Apply decals, pinstriping and clear bra as necessary
- Assist in driving vehicles to sublet appointments as necessary
- Frequent moving of customer vehicles around parking lot
- Assist in keeping shop clean, take out trash, etc.
Qualifications:
- Must have current Driver’s License and ability to maintain a safe driving record.
- Ability to work effectively with other internal teammates, including technicians.
- Must be able to work posted work hours.
- Knowledge of how to color sand and polish a plus.
