FAQ Parts

OEM (Original Equipment Manufactured)
When referring to automotive parts, OEM designates a replacement part made by the manufacturer of the original part.[5] As most cars are originally assembled with parts made by companies other than the one whose badge appears on the vehicle, it may happen that a car company sells OEM spare parts without claiming to have manufactured the part itself.
Aftermarket
Copied from the original factory part and manufactured by a 3rd party supplier. Mainly manufactured overseas and imported into the US. They are certified and tested, and backed by a warranty offered by the company.
Recycled Part/LKQ Parts/Used Parts
Recycled parts and Like Kind and quality parts are original factory parts that have been removed from another vehicle of the same make and model, or a substitutable make and model, and have then been returned to “as new” condition.
