Refinish Technician Job Description:
The entry-level refinish technician will possess a strong will to learn and grow in the field of automotive refinishing. Working side by side with another refinish technician, skill levels will increase and the technician will strive for independence and success. The entry-level technician will have a basic working knowledge of automotive refinishing and a drive to learn more.
Paint Technician Duties and Responsibilities:
● Work with another refinish technician daily
● Ability to keep up with high pace production environment
● Learn to color sand and polish as necessary
● Keep up to date on I-CAR and company required certifications and training, as necessary
● Maintain product inventory and track material usage
● Work directly with repair planner to get all necessary procedures on estimate/supplement and address any concerns
● Follow safety guidelines and wear appropriate Personal Protection Equipment ( PPE)
● Keep work area clean and clear of any debris and uphold environmental regulations
● Be aware of target delivery dates and strive to finish within the timeframe
● Adhere to Mahnke’s and Direct Repair Program (DRP) insurance companies’ procedures for repairs and parts usage
Qualifications:
● Willingness to learn and grow
● Automotive refinishing experience a plus
● Ability to work effectively with other internal teammates.
● Ability to take direction from peers
● Ability to work during posted work hours
